Ernesto Valverde Explains the Reaction of Luis Suarez

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has downplayed suggestions of Luis Suarez causing a disruption in the dressing room by reacting angrily towards his recent substitution.


The Uruguayan star has returned to the first-team action after having been on the sidelines for much of the first few weeks. Since his arrival, though, he has not been able to hit a great goalscoring form – unlike his former counterpart Lionel Messi. In the midweek Champions League match against Sporting Lisbon, Suarez appeared to come up with the goal that gave Barcelona a victory. However, it later turned out to be an ongoing, although the Uruguayan did play a crucial role in the lead up.

However, the 30-year-old did not seem happy with Ernesto Valverde’s decision to substitute him in the closing stages of the match. Suarez was replaced by Aleix Vidal as Barcelona looked to get away with a narrow victory over the home team. Read more…

Luis Suarez to Link up with Uruguay National Team

Barcelona have allowed striker Luis Suarez to continue his recovery from an injury by returning to Uruguay.


The striker will be travelling with the national team in order to link up with the squad for the World Cup qualifiers. Uruguay are up against Paraguay and Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers. Suarez is not expected to feature in both these games, as he is still recovering from a knee injury suffered in the match against Real Madrid midway through August. Barcelona have stated that the player is expected to miss around four weeks of action, and it has compounded the misery after having lost Neymar to a world record transfer to PSG.

Suarez has been one of the top scorers in the Spanish league since making the £ 75 million move from Liverpool in 2014. His importance at the club has now assumed a greater significance with Neymar’s departure and Lionel Messi also reported to be contemplating his future at the club. Read more…

Luis Suarez expressed his gratitude towards Luis Enrique

After being at the helm of Barcelona for 3 years, Luis Enrique has stepped down from his managerial position at Camp Nou.


The Spanish manager said that he wants to take a break from the world of football but that there is a big possibility of him making a return in the future.

In 3 years, Luis Enrique was able to push Barcelona to a number of titles including: La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Supercup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Now it’s up to the recently selected coach Ernesto Valverde to follow the footsteps and continue winning pieces of silverware.

Following the departure of Luis Enrique as the head coach of Barcelona, Luis Suarez has gone on to give his praise towards the 47 year old tactician.

“Thanks coach! Specially for all these things you’ve taught me!!!! THANKS and much success in the future.” Luis Suarez wrote on his social media twitter account.

The 30 year old Uruguayan attacker has also recently talked about his biting incident back in the 2014 FIFA World Cup where he bitted Italy´s Giorgio Chiellini and was subsequently banned for 9 international matches. Read more…

Luis Suarez Ruled out of Uruguay’s Friendlies

Barcelona frontman Luis Suarez will play no part for Uruguay during the off-season after he sustained a hamstring niggle while training with the Copa del Rey winners.


Suarez was already suspended for the Cup final last weekend, but he managed to make things worse for himself by injuring his hamstring prior to Luis Enrique’s farewell match.The former Liverpool man did not have a bright season as in the previous one, but he still bagged 37 goals across all competitions for Barcelona, who lost their grasp on the La Liga title.

Barcelona fought hard to achieve their league success, but Real Madrid hanged on their three point lead until the end of the season.Suarez and Edinson Cavani are undoubtedly the stand out performers for Uruguay, and it appears that luck is not on Suarez’s side as he often finds himself out of the national reckoning.The 30-year-old was largely missed during the Copa America Centenario last year where he was not deemed fit enough to take part on the playing field.Uruguay take on the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on June 4th before moving on to Nice where they face off against Italy in a neutral venue. Conference USA Games Streamed on Twitter

This season, STADIUM a new broadcasting entity will televise 15 Conference USA football games minimum, and this will include a minimum one involving Old Dominion. The information has been shared by the top sources.

Sports properties, vice president for STADIUM Adam Anshell confirmed this news and said, Conference USA football and basketball broadcast could be done by the STADIUM, once its contract expires with the league.
